SAN FRANCISCO – According to the San Francisco Chronicle, six people were killed in different unrelated vehicle accidents over the last three days as a result of rainy weather in Northern California.
The incidents that started Thursday are under investigation throughout the Bay Area. All the six fatalities took place east of San Francisco in Oakland, Fairfield, Antioch, San Leandro, Hayward and San Lorenzo.
Another incident is also being investigated by San Francisco police in which a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries. The incident took place on an early morning in the city.
The victim was struck by a car as he was crossing a street in the south part of the city. The accident took place at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim was not identified.
According to Officer Gordon Shyy with the San Francisco police, the driver of the sedan left the scene of the accident initially but stopped and contacted the police later on.
