TUSTIN, Calif. – An alleged drunk driver escaped the accident spot in Tustin, leaving his injured wife and child behind.
On Thursday, the accident occurred in the area of Red Hill Avenue and Lance Drive at about 7 p.m. According to the police, the motor vehicle got out of control and veered off the road, struck 2 signs and a tree before crashing into a telephone pole.
He then escaped on foot, even though his wife and 1-year-old child were injured inside the motor vehicle.
The man was taken into custody a short distance away from the accident spot. He’s facing felony DUI charges.
The man’s wife and child sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to the authorities.
