On Saturday, an accident involving a limo took place in California, leaving 11 individuals injured from which 5 sustained life-threatening injuries.
A report by The Los Angeles Times showed that the time at which the accident occurred was 8:15 p.m.; the location of the accident was Santa Clarita, California, near northbound Interstate 5.
According to L.A. Cuny Sheriff, Lt. Derek Sabatini, 9 individuals were travelling in the limousine which collided with 2 other vehicles that were travelling eastbound. When the collision happened, the limo was exiting on Newhall Ranch Road from I-5. The color of the Limo was white and the motor vehicle sustained heavy damage due to the accident.
He added that the individuals riding in the Limo sustained critical injuries; the reason of the accident is still unknown. Individuals riding in the other 2 motor vehicles were safe.
The names of hospitals where the individuals who sustained injuries were rushed to included:
- Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital
- Providence Holy Cross Medical Center
- Olive View-UCLA Medical Center
- Northridge Hospital Medical Center
The road was closed for a few hours to clear the debris and to investigate; area residents were informed through a tweet from L.A. County Sheriff’s Office.
Nobody died in the accident that happened on Saturday, unlike the limo accident that happened on 18th of July in which many females were riding. They were celebrating a friend’s upcoming wedding, when a motor vehicle crashed in the limo. The driver of the motor vehicle was driving under the influence of alcohol. 4 females died in the accident and the collision left 4 females seriously injured.
1 of the individuals who sustained injuries in that accident is suing both drivers along with the organizations for which they are working, showed a report that was published on Friday by the People.
The accident was caused by 58-year-old Steven Romeo who was driving under the influence of alcohol due to which the females celebrating the coming wedding sustained injuries. The limo was nearly divided in 2 pieces due to the accident.
On Thursday, a lawsuit was filed by 24-year-old Olga Lipets who was among the females who were travelling in the Limo. She is suing Romeo, the company he co-owns, the person driving the limo and the person he works for. She is seeking damages that happened because of the collision as she underwent a few surgeries for which she needs time to recover and get back to normal life.
Names of the females who died in the Long Island limo crash were:

- 24-year-old Lauren Baruch of Smithtown
- 23-year-old Stephanie Belli of Kings Park
- 23-year-old Amy Grabina of Commack
Other females who sustained serious injuries in the accident and got treatment other than Olga Lipets were:
- 25-year-old Joelle Dimonte of Elwood
- 23-year-old Melissa Angela Crai of Scarsdale
- 24-year-old Alicia Arundel of Setauket
