BODEGA BAY, Calif. – The body of a third person who went missing in an apparent boating accident off the Northern California coast was recovered by searchers.
According to the Marin Independent Journal reports, the body of 28-year-old Ryan Viall, of Windsor, was spotted by Sonoma County sheriff’s officials on Wednesday.
A total of four people set off on a fishing trip near Bodega Bay in a 21-foot boat on 17 April. Viall was one of them. His body was found on the shoreline of Point Reyes National Seashore.
Their boat was found overturned by crews on the rocks near Tomales Point in Marin County, a short while after it was reported to be overdue. The bodies of two people on board were also discovered with the boat. They were identified as 59-year-old Richard Hargreaves, Jr. and 61-year-old Diane Kelly.
One boater still remains unaccounted for.
